My Photosmart 6520 has green lines through all its print jobs, both with regular paper and photo paper. The Magenta color on the Print Quality Diagnostic is abnormal (white horizontal rows alternating with pink). I've replaced all the ink cartridges, ran the Clean Printhead and Align Printer options under "tools," and made sure the vent is clear on the cartridge - all to no avail. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you're getting green lines while printing from your HP Photosmart 6520 printer. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.
Splendid effort and fabulous description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
As you have mentioned in your post that you have already tried cleaning the ink cartridges, aligning the cartridges as well as you have checked the vents on the cartridges. This looks like a possible hardware failure with the printer. However, I would suggest you try these steps first.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges.
Have you tried to check with the old ink cartridges if that helps?
Let's start off by updating the printer firmware. If your printer connected wirelessly, make sure to temporary connect the device with USB and then follow the link to install the latest firmware update on your printer from our HP support website. Alternatively you can also try to update the printer firmware directly from the printer control panel. Once done, restart the computer.
For more details on how to update, please use this link: HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to do a hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
If the issue persists, I would suggest you try to follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP Deskjet, Photosmart 6520 Printers - Black Ink Not Printing and Other Print Quality Issues
If nothing works, I would suggest you try to use old ink cartridges and check if that helps.
