Hi @ICGSMCY,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the HP Ink Tank 319 error with the ink level LED flickering can be caused by several issues. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

1. Check Ink Levels

Ensure that the ink tanks are filled to the correct level. The flickering might indicate low ink levels or an issue with the ink detection system.

  • Inspect the Ink Levels:
    • Ensure that the ink tanks are filled between the maximum and minimum fill lines.
    • If the ink levels are low, refill them using the appropriate HP ink bottles.

2. Reset the Ink Level System

Sometimes the ink level system needs to be reset after refilling.

  • Reset Procedure:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
    3. Wait for 60 seconds.
    4. Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
    5. Turn on the printer.

3. Clean the Ink Cartridge and Printhead

Dirt or dried ink on the cartridge or printhead can cause detection issues.

  • Cleaning Steps:
    1. Turn off the printer and open the front cover.
    2. Remove the ink cartridges carefully.
    3. Use a clean, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to wipe the electrical contacts on the cartridges and the printhead.
    4. Allow them to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

Ensure your printer has the latest firmware updates, as these can fix known bugs and issues.

  • Firmware Update:
    1. Visit the HP Support page.
    2. Enter your printer model (HP Ink Tank 319).
    3. Download and install any available firmware updates.

5. Check for Paper Jams

Paper jams can sometimes cause error lights to flicker.

  • Inspect for Jams:
    • Open the printer and carefully check for any paper that might be stuck.
    • Remove any jammed paper gently to avoid damaging the printer.

6. Reinstall Printer Drivers

Corrupt or outdated printer drivers can cause various issues, including error lights.

  • Reinstalling Drivers:
    1. Uninstall the current printer drivers from your computer.
    2. Download the latest drivers from the HP Support page.
    3. Install the new drivers and restart your computer.

7. Perform a Hard Reset

A hard reset can sometimes clear error conditions.

  • Hard Reset Steps:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
    3. Wait for 60 seconds.
    4. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
