Hi @Joel7031,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Factory Reset the Printer:
- The most straightforward way to reset an EWS password is to perform a factory reset on the printer. This will restore all settings, including the EWS password, to their defaults.
Steps to Factory Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and power it on.
- Depending on the printer model, you may need to navigate through the settings on the printer’s control panel to find and perform a factory reset. Look under "Settings" or "Tools" and search for options such as "Restore Defaults" or "Factory Reset."
Accessing EWS:
- After the reset, you can access the Embedded Web Server by entering the printer’s IP address in a web browser.
- The default username and password should have been reset, allowing you to create a new password from the EWS interface.
- Be Cautious: Be aware that a factory reset will erase all current settings on the printer, not just the EWS password.
I hope this helps.
