HP LaserJet 1022N
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Wired on my home network I have an HP LaserJet 1022n which the family uses for printing.  It has worked well for years and has not been an issue up until now.

I recently received a new work laptop running Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit.

I went through the normal process of adding the printer to my computer; and before it finishes the install it prompts to print a test page - which it does fine - and JUST 1 PAGE.

If I then open the notepad application on my computer and type a single line of text and then attempt to print; it will print endless pages of the same line of text.

The print queue never seems to empty although it shows it as a 1 page document.  The printer properties preferences are set to 1 copy.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this multi-copy printing issue?

thank you.

I found what looks to be the solution for others that may come across the issue....

Deselect the checkbox "Enable two-way communication" on the "Ports" tab of the printer properties.
