HP ENVY Photo 7100 series
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I buyed the printer HP ENVY Photo 7100 series . This kind of printer uses cartdrige 303 and reading this page

https://store.hp.com/ItalyStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=T6N02AE&opt=&sel=SUP it seems that this cartdrige can print like 200 pages. So i printed like 30/35 pages and the printer tell me that the black cartdrige is empty. How it can this possible? it seems less than estimates in the link HP. Can be that the original cartidrige included in the printer package was not full? If to print 30 pages i need to pay 18€ of cartdrige ....probably i'll buy a new printer. could you help me? Can be a printer problem? Thank you

When you bought your printer you get 2 SETUP cartridges which page yield is lower than standard ink cartridge you buy after.

Setup cartridge can print around 120 pages ( @5% coverage), your result, if it is correct, is very low page yield. I would check how many pages your printer, it can be found on the printers configuration page, also some amount of ink is wasted during printhead cleaning and maintaining printhead.

If you have printed around 80-100 pages with setup ink cartridge then it's time for a new cartridge.
