I see others have had issues with HP Smart App printing only 5 pages. My problem is that as well but also
I am printing on a slightly smaller size of paper and when I try to print from file it will print 1 copy and come up with error2 which is mismatch of paper size. I have done this exact size before and had no issues. If any one could tell me how I can fix printing from file I would appreciate it. I have a HP 3700 series. Nothing special but it has worked great in the past. Also I have moved paper guide to edge where it should be. Thank you for your help.

Hi @Joy1991,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing a couple of issues with your HP DeskJet 3700 series printer, specifically with printing only five pages and encountering a paper size mismatch error when printing from a file.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues:
Issue 1: HP Smart App Printing Only 5 Pages
- Update the HP Smart App: Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart App installed from the App Store.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware of your HP DeskJet 3700 series printer. You can do this via the HP Smart App or by visiting the HP website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about a minute and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Reinstall the HP Smart App: Uninstall the app from your iOS device and reinstall it from the App Store.
- Check Print Settings: Make sure that the print settings (such as page range, number of copies, etc.) are correctly configured in the app.
Issue 2: Paper Size Mismatch Error
- Check Paper Size Settings:
- On your iOS device, go to the HP Smart App.
- Navigate to the print settings and ensure the paper size is set to match the size of the paper you are using.
- Align the Paper Guides: Confirm that the paper guides are snug against the edges of the paper, ensuring that the paper is properly aligned in the tray.
- Clean the Paper Rollers: Dust or debris on the rollers can cause paper feed issues. Clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water.
- Print a Test Page: Use the HP Smart App or the printer's control panel to print a test page. This can help identify if the issue is specific to a certain file or a general printing issue.
- Use the Correct Print Settings in the File:
- Open the file you are trying to print.
- Go to the print dialog and ensure the paper size matches the actual size of the paper.
- Adjust any other relevant settings such as scaling, margins, and orientation.
- Reset Printing System on iOS:
- Go to the iOS Settings app.
- Tap on "Printers & Scanners".
- Select your HP DeskJet 3700 printer and choose to reset the printing system.
Additional Steps
- HP Print and Scan Doctor: This is a diagnostic tool provided by HP for troubleshooting printing issues. While it is more commonly used on Windows, you can check if a similar tool or support is available for iOS. Update the firmware on an HP printer
