Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. As shown in the description, I get a no-ink error when I changed my black cartridge from 65 to 63XL. No problem with the old 65. With the 63XL, I can print a test page fine (repeatably) but then it shows the blinking no ink indicator for printing anything else. I have tried the hard reset (unplug power cord, etc.) w/o improvement. Any ideas??

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the ink cartridge issue. 

 

HP 63 XL is not compatible with your printer. You need HP 65 or HP 65XL Black/ Tri-color.

 

 

You may contact the HP Shopping to buy correct inks for your printer.

Ok sorry to hear that. If it will print a test page, it should be usable in my printer! I will have to order 65.
