Hi @ginnpr1,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community! I came across your post and wanted to assist you. I see from the post that you are having issues with the output tray on your HP Envy printer. Don't worry I'll do my best to help you with this,

After reviewing your post, I see that you are having issues with the output tray does not go back once finished printing. I'm afraid this is not set to automatic, this has to be done manually.

So once you have done printing, I would suggest you manually have to push the tray back in.

I hope this answers your question, let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again.

It is very hard to push in and I do not want to break it off - What is the best way - is a  latch or

something - Just pushing it = it does not move.

thanks for any reply.

Just want to thank everyone that was helping with this problem - it is solved. I watched the video on the

setup for this printer and did not realize - which no one mentioned - that the extender comes out from the

left side - I was trying to push it straight in. Works great.

Thanks again - great group.
