I just purchased the OFFICEJET 4650 and it installed flawlessly. I use it to scan from adf to computer using Quicken 2017. The process works well but when I try to print a document after that process the computer returns "printer offline"
I have made the 4650 default printer.
I get around the problem by shutting the printer off and on.
This has something to do with the printer staying in scanning mode to the computer. Is there a setting I am missing which will reset to printing mode autmatically?
Its a bother to keep turning the printer off and on each time.

- Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity.
- Set the default printer and unpause printing.
- Reset the printer and check the connection status.
- Make sure the correct port is selected.
- Update the printer firmware.
- Add a second printer device to Windows.
