When I try to turn the printer on the display flashes and then quits.

I really need this printer to work-any suggestions as to the cause/rectification of this problem would be greatly appreciated.

You are not clear as to how far it starts up. Could be the power supply, could be the formatter, could bad memory on the formatter. Need more details to provide any guidance.

When I switch the unit on the front panel display flashes (slightly more than the blink of any eye in duration) and then nothing. During this brief period it sounds like the printer is functioning normally.

The other frustrating thing about this is if the unit is left untouched for a couple of weeks it will power up normally and function properly.

If currently has just over 15,000 pages printed.

Hope this helps.
