HP Recommended

I recently purchased a 3 pack replacement of HP 564XL black ink only to find out that the black ink will not print on my Photosmart 6525 printer. I spent a tremendous amount of time going through all troubleshooting suggested without success. I just purchased a ENVY Photo 7858 to replace my printer. I want to exchange the 3 pack ink for the HP 64XL needed for my new printer. Sam's Club will not exchange because I opened the package and tried using one of the three ink cartridges. Hopefully HP will stand by their product and do the right thing by exchanging the 3 ink cartridges?

I bought my cartridges from HP and I have used at least 30 percent cleaning heads and trying to align the heads.  I am going to buy an Epson
