Installed an 62XL printer cartridge in my HP 5740 printer because it has more capacity than a normal 62 cartridge but it will not print, it keeps telling me to reload printer cartridge.

@Joey57 Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that after installing the new HP 62XL ink cartridges, the printer is not printing.
- Please clean the copper contacts and reinsert the ink cartridges and check.
- Please make sure the protective plastic tape is removed from the ink cartridges.
- Please update the firmware and check.
If the issue still persists, Please perform the hard reset.
-
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 60 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed
