Hi @nashco1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code OXB8049FBC on the HP 6255 printer usually indicates a hardware problem, specifically with the printhead or the ink cartridges.

Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue.

  • Reset the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about a minute. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Clean the printhead: Remove the printhead from the printer and clean it with a soft, lint-free cloth dipped in distilled water. Do not use tap water, as it may contain minerals that can clog the printhead.
  • Replace the ink cartridges: If the ink cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones. Make sure you use genuine HP ink cartridges.
  • Check for firmware updates: Go to the HP support website and check for any firmware updates for your printer. If there is an update available, download and install it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
