This question was posted by erothoff and answered long time ago by Bob_Headrick, but the link in the answer is not working anymore.

Can anyone provide the document?

Thanks in advance!

Product: HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer series - H711
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Most of my HP printers, I have had to stop using because I had a hard time finding ink, but my HPOfficejet 6700 starting giving me the error, "Print Head is Missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed " and all I can see that HP says to do is turn off and back on, and if that doesn't work call HP. REALLY?  Other HP products have where you can remove the heads, but it doesn't look like this model does.   Yes my warrenty ended over 2 years ago, but still... Is there any way to fix it without having to buy a new printer?

The printhead in the Officejet 6700 is not user servicible. If you have already done the reset as described in the document here the only other options are repair or replacement.

I was unable to find that document. I did find a discussion very similar to your problem and a video that shows how to clean the print head (which is not removable it seems)

From reading that and other posts, the context of that missing article seems to be "cleaning the print head".   I believe this is the correct article but it has a different ID:
