My HP printer 6940 suddenly stopped turning on or off, but the Orange Arrow Down light stays lit and solid.
I've done everything, unplugged everything, took out cartridges and cleaned, checked paper, cleaned everything, etc.
It worked fine a few days ago and then it stopped working
Could the power switch with all the lights be broken?

Hi@yeja77,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Deskjet 6940 Printer not turning on.
I have a few recommendations
- To commence with the hard reset, switch off your Printer and hold for a few seconds before switching it on again. When the printer gets the power, hit the back button on the front panel of the printer for four times.
- Unplug the printer and then reconnect the printer to reset the power module.

The problem is I cannot turn off the printer or on the printer the only way to get the orange light to disappear is to unplug it from the wall as soon as I plug it back in the orange arrow down light is lit, no other buttons work

Hi@yeja77,
Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.
It could be a hardware issue on the Printer. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out.
Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options.
