Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

My hpofficejet pro 6970 wont stay online even though it is on the same network as all of my computers. My main computer is an Imac with OS Monterey. I have used HP smart and it gets connected but if I do not use it for any amount of time it goes off line again. Most of the time it cannot connect to the scanner.
