When I print I get streaks on one section of the page. I’ve done numerous cleans, aligns and used new ink but it continues. The print report in the photo shows the problem in pattern 3. Anyone able to help please?

Hi Betty

The link you sent doesn’t work but I will try and contact Support to see if it is a replaceable part.

Cheers.

I still have the problem. I think it is to do with the blue printing. Are there any physical solutions you can suggest such as areas to clean? I’ve run the clean and align processes several times.

I'm afraid not and this is a hardware issue. Do contact the Support Team as mentioned 🙂

I’ve just decided to order another printer rather than spend time resolving it via a service centre. My instant ink for this unfortunately has just been dispatched. I’ve ordered a HP 8017. Is the ink for my 6970 compatible with the new printer, if not can I return the ink (for a refund/credit)?

@BobScratchit

I see that you are looking for exchanging your spare ink cartridges. The existing ink will not be compatible with your new printer.

Hence, you can contact the Instant Ink Support Team for help.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps!

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
