I hope you can help me. I'm  getting a missing printhead error message.  I already did the unplugging etc that was recommended here, as well as deleting the drivers and reinstalling them.   I am wondering how the tape like connectors are supposed to look on the right side of the printhead. There is a thin one, and mine appears to be folded, and I am wondering if this may be the cause of my problem. Could it have gotten unconnected somehow?  hp printhead 2.JPGI couldn't find a photo online to show what it is supposed to look like. I hope you can help me soon, as we're a business, and this printer is only 3 years old, sadly it is discontinued 😞

Thank you,

Mary Pat

That is FFC for line sensor, it looks OK.
I don't believe any online instructions can fix printhead problem long term, the printhead needs to be replaced, but you'll never know. Good luck.

Is it supposed to be all kinked like that?  I couldn't find a picture online of it anywhere.  I thought maybe it came undone on one end?  Thank you for the name of the part.

Yes, it needs to be something like that, it is used for a line sensor that reads paper edge and it's part of the carriage assembly, not printhead.
