I got an HP Officejet 7612 Wide Format e-All-in-One in December of 2017 with an extended warranty good until December 2019, so naturally I'm printing with it 3 days ago and after finishing with 1 job I go to print the next and it errors out. The computer error reads "Load Paper" but the printer display says, "Load Paper in Portrait Orientation". I was printing on tabloid card stock as I have dozens of times. The files, while not identical, were close enough for me to expect that it was a non-issue (same color space, image size, file type, etc.). I tried printing other files with the same non-result. I tried printing from other computers/devices on other operating systems, again with the same issue. I can't change the paper orientation, but I did try other paper (not card stock) and paper in other sizes. All fail to print, even when I change the paper orientation.

Hi @crazitalk
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
- Which application are you trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
For now, let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Tabloid: 279 x 432 mm (11.0 x 17.0 inches) can only be loaded in the input tray and cannot be used on the ADF.
To know how to load the papers in the printer, kindly refer to this document.
Make sure to select the right paper type and paper size on the application you are using to print.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
