My HP Envy Photo 7855 network printer does not print.  Message says out of paper, photo paper tray.  I'm not trying to print a photo.  I'm trying to print a document using letter size paper from the regular paper tray which does have paper.

Let's try these troubleshooting steps and see if that helps

Remove all the papers from your printer and perform a Printer Reset

- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
- Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Next clean the paper rollers and update the printer firmware. You can refer to Step 3 in this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05556825 for help in cleaning the rollers

Put back the papers and adjust them with the paper guides and try printing

Keep me posted how it goes 😊
