HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-in-One Printer

HP 7858 printer apps inoperative, have reset router, computer, printer, did printer restore from printer screen, had to re-enroll in instant inkk to get entire printer funcionality back, and the apps still dont work.  Trying to print simple 2025 calendars!!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the apps on your HP ENVY Photo 7858. Let's try to get everything working smoothly again!

 

  1. Have you tried reinstalling or updating the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device?
  2. Are you able to print from other applications or is it only the calendar printing that's affected?
  3. Do you receive any specific error messages when trying to use the apps, or do they simply fail to open or function?

 

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

 

  1. Reinstall HP Smart App: Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to ensure it’s up to date and functioning correctly.
  2. Check Printer Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer. Double-check the network settings on the printer to make sure it’s connected properly.
  3. Clear Printer Queue: Go to Devices and Printers on your computer, find your printer, and clear any pending print jobs in the queue that might be causing issues.
  4. Update Printer Firmware: Check for any available firmware updates for the printer through the printer’s settings menu or the HP Smart app.
  5. Reset Printer Settings: If you haven't already, perform a factory reset of the printer through the printer’s screen (under the setup or settings menu) to ensure it’s working properly after the reset.

Thanks for your response.  I did all you suggested, performed every step, deleted via control panel any and all apps associated with HP, reinstalled, etc,  and still the print apps Quick Forms are inop.  When invoking a calendar sheet, music sheet, graph paper, under  etc., the screen says its downloading and then printer starts making noises, and then ejects paper according to how many copies are requested, but with no content.  In normal print mode, ie printing from my email client or the web, the printer performs well.   What do i do next?
