The other day I printed wirelessly and then after I completed the forms and wanted to scan and pdf the forms I could not wirelessly find the printer on the network.
I noticed that the Blue light was off.
I have shut off the Printer multple times (unplugged also)
Rebooted the Laptop and router.
removed and reloaded the HP software and drivers.
I printed, from the printer, Diagnostics page - No problems found - all appropriate info is there - SSID, MAC address, IP address, etc...
I have tried to find the Printer from the IP address through Firefox - nope
I have now connected via USB cable and it works fine.

How do I post the pdf...?

Well this is interesting. All looks good, except it looks like you have iPV6 enabled in the printer. This should be disabled.
Let try resetting the printer back to Network Defaults. Then disable iPV6 in the printer. Try to reconnect. Status of the blue light? Did it connect to your router and print?

Thanks for all of your help...for now I have spent a lot of time on this...and have to move on... I have the ability to print from both laptops via a direct cable connect to USB.
Here's a listing of what I have found at this point...
I have one router - each device has an IP from the router.
Yes the blue light is on (this is the other printer C410) and correct the wireless is not working.
So I have two Printers (both are all-in-one printer, scan ,fax etc )
HP 8600 the blue light will not go on - it has an IP address and when I run the network test from the printer it reports that there is no problem...needless to say the issue is that neither laptop will work wireless to that printer.
My laptop is working fine to that printer with a direct USB plug. Working on setting up Pam's laptop to connect with the cable to this printer - I can not get this printer to work from my wife's laptop.
The other printer is an HP C410 this one the light is on and has an IP address (yes different from the other printer). Also having trouble wireless - both laptops can print to this printer using a direct connect USB.
Also each laptop is on the network (Win 7) - I think I have sharing setup properly but I can not see the other laptop from either laptop and same for the C410 (light is on).
This has gotta be something simple that I am missing...
Funny to note the other day I printed (8600) some forms wireless from my laptop...then I wanted to scan the forms (wireless) just a few mins later and that would not work (and I do a lot of wireless scanning in the past).
and so my frustration.
Weird...
