Hello, for some time on some clients of the network where this printer is installed we have this problem:
The tool "HP OfficeJet Pro 8730.exe" target "" C: \ Program Files \ HP \ HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 \ Bin \ HP OfficeJet Pro 8730.exe "-Start UDCDevicePage" of which we have the icon on the desktop starts and always asks for the installation of a new device even though the printer is already installed. This problem prevents access to all the functions of the tampante.
Hp print doctor does not detect any errors and the printer and scanner are correctly installed, however it is a problem not being able to directly access the functions.
For the scanner we created an icon on the desktop "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ HP \ HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 \ bin \ HPScan.exe". Is there a solution ???

Thank you have a nice day.

the problem has not been resolved.
I had already tried all the steps listed but nothing to do.
Step 5: Try the Windows built-in print driver
If the previous steps did not resolve the issue, use the Windows built-in driver. Go to Installing and Using the Built-in Windows Print Driver. (WORKS PERFECT) but it's a shame not to be able to use the hp suite.
Looking forward to news, thank you and greetings.

This is mostly an OS related issue as the built-in driver works fine.

Thanks for your interest. We are resellers and this problem is not the first time that has happened to us.
In the latter case we managed to solve it by connecting the printer via WI-Fi and then reconnecting it to the network, in this case it does not want to know. The local HP support has not been able to give us indications.
For now we have satisfied the clinete by creating a link to the scanner icon:
"C: \ Program Files (x86) \ HP \ HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 \ bin \ HPScan.exe"
The executable in "C: \ Program Files \ HP \ HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 \ Bin \ HP OfficeJet Pro 8730.exe" -Start UDCDevicePage "with the black printer icon continues to fail.
In another house even after the next win10 update, it started working again.
???
