HP9018e needs a FACTORY RESET due to Locked Menu. I have tried everything. From similar posts I see I need the "instructions specific to my printer" that are not allowed to be posted directly. My printer was just out of warranty when the lockout occurred. HP REPRESENTATIVES PLEASE HELP!

Hi @JohnSmith100,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

The private message instructions did not work. I have no menu access. Since I can't see where the return button is, I tried pressing 4 times (per instructions) all over the lower left screen quadrant (with several seconds between sets of 4 to be sure there is no response). No response at all. Is my HP 9018e irreversibly "bricked" after less than 1.5 years or is there any other option? Maybe replacing the main board? Any information would be appreciated even if it is to document that I should stop wasting my time and desk space on this printer.
