macOS 10.15 Catalina

HP 9020 loses WiFi connection and I have to turn the printer off and then on to get reconnected. The printer is next to the router.

Hello,

In order to palliate this incident, please update the printer firmware as follows:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless icon () to retrieve the IP address of the printer.
  2. Launch a webpage and type this address in the Address bar and touch Enter. The printer's web interface opens.
  3. Click on the Tools tab, then develop Printer Updates then, and then Firmware Updates.
  4. Click the Check Now button to install the latest firmware version of the printer.

I tried this solution and turns out software was already up to date. So the problem persists....

Hello and thanks for your return,

In order to palliate this incident, please 
restart the printer, computer, and router for solve this problem.
  1. Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
  2. Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
  3. Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
  4. Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 30 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the router.
     NOTE: Wait until internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
  7. Wait at least 3 minutes, then turn on the computer.
  8. Continue to the following steps.

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard to establish a wireless connection between your printer and network.
  1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Wireless icon ().
  2. Touch the Settings icon (), then Restore Network Settings, and then touch Yes to confirm your selection.
  3. After the default network settings are restored, touch Wireless Settings, and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
    The printer searches for available networks.
  4. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
