My low usage 2 year old HP 9025e is now no longer functional due to a stuck print carriage issue. The carriage is stuck at the right hand side and cannot be accessed. The generic suggested solutions proposed by HP didn't resolve the issue. I note from other comments that this is a common issue but the answers always appear to be provided by HP in the way of a direct message, hence this message. Help would be appreciated.

Hi @AGSTX,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing a stuck print carriage issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer, and that the generic solutions provided by HP didn't work. A stuck carriage can be frustrating, but there are a few additional steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This may sometimes reset the carriage position.
Manually Move the Carriage:
- Turn off the printer.
- Gently try to move the carriage back and forth along its path. Be very careful not to force it.
- Check if there are any obstructions or debris that might be blocking the carriage's movement.
Inspect for Obstructions:
- Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams, foreign objects, or debris that might be blocking the carriage's path.
- If you find anything, carefully remove it.
Clean the Carriage Rail:
- Turn off the printer.
- Gently clean the metal rail or bar that the carriage moves along. Use a lint-free cloth and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol if necessary.
Reset the Printer:
- Some HP printers have a semi-full reset option that can help with carriage issues. The procedure can vary, so check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform this reset.
Update Firmware:
- Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve hardware issues. Visit the HP website, enter your printer model, and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
