Hi , girl's and guy's , i am a french former hp owner.
I buyed my first printer in 1993 a fabulous deskjet.
I have a two problems with an hp photosmart all in one c4180.
My printer say "carriage jam".
1 solution clean all printer like the online hp support explains me, ok i did it. no results.
2 solution , open left compartiment to inspect and clean gear wheel . the paper is fed into the printer and comes out halfway. the screen indicates: carriage jam .... I press ok, the sheet leaves intact
3 solution .....full reset by hidden menu. press left arrow + config ...."enter special key combo"....press ok....UIAUX MENU i try to open the reset menu ....without succeeding. go back....
The printer restart in MFG MODE .........
I go crazy with this printer

@guiilhem, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I really appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. Though this one seems like a hardware issue we can try a complete reset on the printer as you have already initiated it.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps!
