Hello. My HP CP3505 at work prints in black and white, but not in color. Checked the settings in windows, print job sent in color, printer settings in windows control panel set to color. Tried from another computer - still comes out b & w. Tried diagnostic page, test page, color band test from the printer, all come out black and white. Checked color restriction setting on printer is off - color is allowed. Ink levels for all colors are good (over 50%). Turned printer off and back on. Still black and white. Was working fine (with color) about a week ago. Any suggestions?

There are several possible problems with this print engine that only get worse with age. The entire mechanisms that engage and disengage the toners is plastic and has a habit of failing. Does the front door open normally or is there resistance? Can you remove the toner cartridges and reinsert them easily? Broken components in the door system will either make it hard to open or cause loud noises when opening and closing. Additionally, the little hooks on the left and right side that secure the cartridges may either block insertion on not drop down which result in no electrical contact with the drums of the toners.
