Dear all,

 

one of our printers

HP Color Laser MFP 179fwg

displays the message "prepare new transfer belt" or in german "Ue.band ersetzen"

but I'm unable to find the right part number respectively the corect spare part.

 

I hope anyone has a suggestion.

Just reset and you can print.

I would suggest you to only reset the belt count in TECH menu, but if you want to replace it the part number is JC93-01594A.

thank you for the reply.

Could you also support how to reset the belt count in TECH menu?

I can only find reset for toner or the like in the printer menu spontaneously.

In the instruction manual I can also find nothing suitable.

i have the same problem but "Ü-Band Fehler", so i have to replace it

I cant find a tutorial, how to replace it.... and how to reset the counter in Tech menu

Hello STERREICHER,

 

until now we ordered the spare part, for our printer it is a Samsung Part JC96-06292A JC93-01540A due to the merging of HP and Samsung.

You need to unmount the cartridges etc. first. Then unfix the part at the front and the backside of the printer and unplug the cable.

After changing the part the error message still appears on our display, for this we didn't find a conclusion so far.

You need to reset the belt in TECH mode.

we found a tutorial video and the way in the Tech Mode but not the right reset function in the menu so far.

 

Could you tell us which point in the menu it is?

TECH menu -> Data setup -> Clear counts -> 1934 - > Transfer belt

But now the display says "change fuser unit" - as far as I know there isn't a separate fuser unit in this printer? Do we have to also reset this counter?
