HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw

Hello All,

Ever since my LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw went out of warranty, it has been burning out power cords.  I've had to replace the power cord 3-4 times in the last couple months.  I've tried using the printer plugged directly into the wall, and also plugged into a surge protector.  I've even opted for turning my printer off when I know I won't be using it for awhile, but when I turn it back on and leave it on for a day or so, I find that the power cord stops working.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation?  Since HP pretty much makes it impossible to contact them unless you pay or are still in warranty, I'm hoping someone has experience with a similar issue and can give me some advice on what to do.

Thank you very much.

Have you had the outlet and the bad cord tested? You could have issues with your home wiring or the printer. I have never run into a customer with this problem. Do the cords get hot at anytime? If yes then this printer or the problem in your house could be a fire risk for you.

Had the exact same issue. Replaced with a heavier gauge (14AWG) power cable from amazon, and seems to have fixed the issue so far after 48 hours of continuously being plugged in and on.
