HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Community,

I own a HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw that I purchased while in UK. I just moved to US and this printer won't power up. I tried using a Voltage converter and It powers up but shows a F50 - Fuser error.

Q 1: Does this printer have a power supply unit that automatically picks the right voltage?

Q 2: If not, can anyone suggest : What specifications I would need to ensure for a voltage converter?

Thanks,

Mayank

Your printer purchased in Europe is 220V and it can't work in the US where the voltage is 110V.

Using a power converter from 110V to 220V is not recommended for printers, but if you want to take a risk the printer consumption is around 400W.

Thank you Valsimot. I purchased a 800W step up transformer from amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X1FY3HV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details . Printer powers up and prints just fine.
