Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw

I just bought a HP Color LaserJet Pro Multifunction M479fdw.  It never goes into sleep mode and the fan runs constantly.  I left it on overnight and the fan was still running with the printer never having gone to sleep.  I set it to go to sleep after 1 minute.  Is there a way to ensure the fan isn't constantly running?  I've installed the latest firmware.
