We have a new Laserjet MFP M480

This is installed in a network environment

Print jobs are arriving at printer as you can see them in a menu in the top right hand corner on the printer.

This menu says the job is pending until some time in the future.  Say 2.55 pm when printed at 8.00 am

How do I make the printer immediately?

Hi @btas,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Print jobs get stuck in the queue when a device stops printing in the middle of a job. This can happen for a variety of reasons, from a sudden power outage, low ink, no paper, a paper jam to interference by third-party firewall software. The fastest way to identify and fix issues for a Windows PC is our HP Print and Scan Doctor app. If you have a different operating system, our Virtual Assistant can guide you through clearing your queue, or you can follow the manual troubleshooting steps below.

Also, please use the HP Video link, this will help in fixing the print queue issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi, Jobs are not being interrupted, we can delete them from queue and then reprint and they go into the queue with a delayed print time..  It seems that it wants to hold the jobs till a future time when they are printed to it

Hi @btas,

In this case, we might have to perform a Root installation of the printer drivers and need to update the latest firmware, please let me know if you are using a Windows or Mac Os device

 Keep me posted
