We recently purchased a brand new HP 2130 All in one deskjet. Installed onto Windows 10 and it printed fine on two occassions. A few days later it now wont print anything. You can see the print job sitting in the queue and then it disappears into thin air! Have removed the printer from windows settings, unintsalled, deleted the software, restarted, reinstalled and re setup more than 5 times. Have spent hours searching on the internet and absolutely hours trying to resolve the issue. Used the HP print and scan doctor and nothing will resolve this issue. The laptop is an HP. There is plenty of ink in the cartridges which are genuine HP cartridges. I feel there is a corrupted system file somewhere? Is there a .dll file which could be corrupt and needs replacing? Have downloaded the software drivers from the HP Support site and these don't make any difference either. Frankly had enough. The printer itself does work because you can put a document on the flatbed scanner glass and it will scan and print, it just won't print from applications. Is the printer fully compatible with Windows 10??? There are no error messages either...........
I set this printer up on my other Windows 10 laptop (Acer) to determine if the printer was faulty and the printer works fine, but cannot get it to work on the HP Laptop which is where we need this printer to be working. Have also swapped out printer cables as a last resort.

It might be that the Print Service in Windows is stuck / not working.
Print Jobs Stuck in Print Queue
Try / Consider:
Restart print services and clear the print folder
- Control Panel > icon view > Administrative Tools > Services >
- Scroll down, find, and Stop Print Spooler Service
- Delete files from C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
- Start Print Spooler Service

Thank you for the replies. Stopping and starting the spooler does not help either.
Nor does cancelling jobs in the print queue - in fact they don't stay there long enough to do ! They sit there for a few seconds then completely disappear.
I feel this is almost an unresolvable issue and one I can see requires a resolution as many owners of these printers have the same problems.
Looking like I will have to purchase a different printer at the moment.

Assuming the printer passes all its diagnostics, the issue is more likely software than hardware (printer itself).
For example, from the How-to > Diagnostics & Support Tools
- Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows
- Using Print and Scan Doctor to Help Resolve Printer Issues (Windows)
See Step 1 > Reset the printer
Assuming your Windows Updates are current and that you have installed / updated Adobe Reader DC, the other check point would be to ensure the HP Drivers on the computer are updated / current.
For example:
Windows key > Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates
HP Drivers, start at: Support Home
Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC / Foxit Reader)
- HINT: Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software
That being said, if you feel the printer is at fault, you may wish to return the printer for a model / type better suited to your environment.
