HP DeskJet 2132 not printing from a Chromebook

Hi.

My HP Deskjet 2132 has suddenly stopped printing jobs from my Chromebook . It is connected via USB cable .

It has worked perfectly for the last year but I now get a message " Failed Filter Failed " .

I have tried uninstalling it & reinstalling it through Chrome , Settings , Advanced , Printers , Saved Printers without luck . 

Yet the same printer is working Ok ( again via USB cable ) when jobs are sent from another computer operating Windows Vista . 

Please can someone help .

No this is useless as it just gets me to the Filter Failed screen that dozens of other people have complained about and as I explained in my post.

I have just been informed by Google Chrome that this is now a known problem & they are currently working on a fix .

No this did not help unfortunately .

Chrome now aware of problem affecting large numbers of Chrome to HP printers ( many models ) , they are working on a fix .

Just to be clear - this is a CHROME issue?

Hi. 

As per previous posts - My Lenovo Chrome book still cannot use the HP DeskJet 2132 to print ( using a USB Cable ) .

Google Chrome Operating System Version 97.0.4692.102 ( Official Build 32 Bit ) .

Has any one else had any success or is it a case now of buying a non HP printer ?
