I have recently installed my HP Deskjet 2060 on my new MacBook Air, the installation seems to be fine the printer is visible under printers (status: green, idle). However I cannot print any document (.doc, pdf, xls,webpage etc) there seems to be no communication between the MacBook Air and the HP Deskjet.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

@Buddy007

Welcome to the HP support community.

Are you getting any error messages?

Meanwhile:-

To isolate the issue, please perform a ping test and share the results-

  1. Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer

  2. On the MAC Go to Spotlight > search for Network utility > select Ping tab > enter the IP address of the printer in the box

  3. Check the second box that says Send only > 10 pings

  4. Click on ping > Check the results at the end if any packets are lost.

  5. To stop pinging, press Ctrl + C in the command prompt window.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers
