So, i’ve been trying to print some images in color but when i’m going to print it, it doesn’t give me the option to print it in color, it doesn’t even give me the option for black and white is just straight up grayscale. I tried looking everywhere and i had no answer. I looked in the HP smart app in the printer settings, tray and paper (just in case) but THERES NO COLOR OPTION, im desperate and i’m having no patience. I tried resetting my printer and it didn’t work, one thing i found is that i should delete/ forget my printer from my account but when i tried to do so it’s says that i don’t own any printers and i don’t know what my printer is connected to😩, i tried to log in into the only 2 accounts i have for HP and both of them says the same, idk what else to do, PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi @lynosaki,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Deskjet 2600 printer is not printing in color, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check ink levels: Ensure that the color ink cartridges in your printer have enough ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer's software or the control panel on the printer itself. If the ink levels are low or depleted, replace the color ink cartridges.
  • Check printer settings: Verify that the printer settings are configured correctly to print in color. Open the print dialog box on your computer, select the HP Deskjet 2600 printer, and ensure that the color printing option is enabled.
  • Clean the printhead: Sometimes, clogged printheads can result in color printing issues. Most printers have a built-in utility to clean the printhead. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to access and run the printhead cleaning process. This may help to unclog any blockages and improve the color print quality.
  • Align the printhead: If the printer has an alignment feature, you can use it to align the printhead properly. Proper alignment ensures that the ink is distributed correctly on the page, resulting in better color printing. Look for the alignment option in your printer's software or settings menu.
  • Check color settings on your computer: Ensure that the color settings on your computer are not set to grayscale or black and white. Open the printing preferences or settings for the printer driver on your computer and verify that the color option is selected.
  • Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause printing problems. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your HP Deskjet 2600 printer model. Install the updated drivers on your computer and check if the color printing issue is resolved.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
