I installed new HP Cartridges and everything worked fine. The carriage is working fine and the paper is not jammed or faulty. The orange light for the colour cartridge keeps flashing. I got it to go off a few times by slamming the cartridge door shut a few times. Now the light won’t stop flashing and I can’t use it anymore. Any ideas? I am a mechanical engineer and have it on my bench with the top off to see it from above. The ribbons still have to be connected for it to work, but can’t see where the problem might be.

@Arkrite, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand the color ink cartridge is not working.
This condition occurs when at least one ink cartridge is incompatible or the ink levels are low.
Did you remove the color ink cartridge and try printing in black to check if that works?
Follow the steps mentioned in this document - Blinking lights
Also, refer to - Ink cartridge errors
If the error persists, try using an alternate color ink cartridge if available.
If the issue persists even after replacing the ink cartridge, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
