HP Deskjet 3050 J610

I bought two deskjet 3050 j610 series from USA working with ink HP61. When I came to Europe I could not find HP61 and the dealer told me to  reset the printer, select region Europe and use ink 301 instead. I did it and was working fine for years. Recently I enabled wifi in one of them to connect it wirelessly with my new laptop as well, win11. I downloaded HP application and told me to upgrade the firmware. After this the printer cannot work with 301 inks. It works only with the old 61, but it is empty now.

I bought brand  new 301 and 301XL , the printer says incompatible cartridges and cannot work. Sometimes it says used ink cartridges and freezes again. It accepts only the 61 ink. I tried everything, cleaned contacts, reset by pulling power cable while on, button reset ( X, ok, + power) and reselecting region, I selected USA, India, Europe etc, All the same. The printer recognizes only 61 ink cartridge. But I cannot find it in Europe.

The other printer that has the old firmware works fine with everything.

The working firmware is SBP1FN1022FR. The firmware after upgrade is SBP1FN1022GR. 

Is there any way to downgrade, or to unlock the printer? I am desperate because I love this printer and I do not want to get new  model and keep two different lines of ink spares ( because my other 3050 works fine , and I already have 5 new ink cartridges).

I see that you are looking for help with a regional reset on your Printer.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

 

Which country did you move from and to?

Do you have the ink cartridges for both regions?

Do you have a printer USB cable?

Do you have the printer full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?

If you meet the above conditions then let me know the following details:

1) The operating system of your PC, is it Windows or Mac?

2) Confirm the printer model.

 

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
