HP Deskjet 3512 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Compatible Printer Cartridges.JPG

Though the HP website (https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01766411) says that HP Deskjet 3512 e-All-in-One Printer is compatible with HP 802 cartridges the cartridge gives "incompatible cartridge" error when put inside the printer. I had called up the HP India support personal before I purchased the HP 802 printer cartridges and was directed to this URL (https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01766411) by her and now the cartridge does not work. Very demoralizing & frustrating. Please can someone help on what I can do now to make the printer print? I need the printer to work immediately for an urgent work. Someone please suggest, I am located in India where HP 61 cartridges are not readily available.

Hi,

It can be done without any ink through the software, but only with a support representative and not in any other way.

I have brought this post to the attention of HP so you should be contacted on this matter.

Hi,

Have you moved with the printer to India from another country?

You would need to have a full set HP 802 cartridges available and the printer connected to a computer, then contact HP support in India to reset the printer to accept a such as described below:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02558798

As your printer is not in warranty, you would need to follow these steps to dispute, select Issue with my accessories, supplies and/or software and clearly describe that you have moved from another country:

Hi Shlomi,

Thanks for your help. Yes I have moved from US to India and was using the HP61 cartridges I had. My printer is out of warranty. Is there a way (number/chat) through which I can connect with the India support who can help me to reset my printer to use HP 802 cartridges? I cannot find any straight link in the support website that will take me to the required support agent who can help.

Hi @Name123,

I included a link to Submit a Dispute in my previous post.

Although your printer is out of warranty your cartridges are under warranty and therefore you entitled for phone support on such a matter, follow the form and describe that you have moved, once the form will be validated you will get an email back with the case number and contact details to contact HP on this matter.

Hi,

The link to Submit a Dispute is not available in the page showing the product warranty details. Can you send me the steps that I can perform offline on the printer, I need to resolve this urgently. Or you can provide me any email id / contact number that I can reach out to.

Please let me knnow what would be the easiest solution.

My current HP 61 cartridges do not have any ink and are not printing, but are being recognized by the printer without any "bad cartridge" error. Is there a way to do the regionalization reset without having the need to print any test page or printer report? Can the required inputs for the regionalization reset be obtained from the printer display panel or the software internals / logs? Need your urgent help. Please suggest.
