I recently installed the Deskjet 3700 and the printer fails to print any documents from my PC Screen, a message appears at the bottom R/H side of the screen suggesting a " Printing Error has occurred", to get the printer to produce a printed copy from the screen, i have to press the Power Off and restart the printer, the printer will then produce the required copy.

If I go through the Printer Problem Solving route the printer will print the Test Sheet?

I have checked the connections, and although the Printer has a  "WiFi" capability it is connected to my Windows 11 PC  directly by cable.

One peculiar issue I have encountered is that on initial installation the "Test Sheets" printed off include the Serial Number and Firmware Version Number, yet when I put the Serial Number in the Information box on the HP online help page, it informs me that the Serial Number is incorrect!

I have checked this number from the Label on the Printer, and they both match ?
