HP Recommended

I bought the HP Deskjet 3700 a few months ago. It worked on and off at the beginning. However, no matter what I try the printer will NOT PRINT even though it is "ready". I have checked the network connection, uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Smart App, and reconnected the printer to my laptop many many times. I have also run many different troubleshooters and downloaded doctor apps that HP told me to get. All of these came to the same conclusion. They all came up inconclusive! I got so frustrated I went on HP's website and talked to their "virtual assistant" and imagine this it did NOT work either because lord knows nobody can get ahold of a human nowadays. This problem is affecting my schoolwork and has become EXTREMELY IRRITATING. I refuse to buy anything HP in the near future.
