HP Deskjet 5550 series (HPA)

Moving it to my new Windows 7 Pro computer

Prints test page and web pages but only blank pages when attempting to print any text documents from Microsoft Office or LibreOffice or Wordpad.

I have followed everything I can find here including to make sure it is plugged into a wall socket and not a surge protector, I have installed and used HP Print and Scan Doctor, stopped and restarted Print Spooler, uninstalled and reinstalled printer many times, unplugged power and USB, turned it on and off, unplugged while still turned on, removed all references of the printer that I could find then plugged it back in, reset it to only black ink, etc.  Even hooked it back up to my old (win 7 home) computer where it ran just fine until I moved it over to my new computer and it did the same thing there. What do I do next???

P.S.  I have tried to use all the self help links but I just get looped back to the same location (software and drivers) that says us the built in drivers of my system.

Thanks for your support.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please uninstall the printer from root level and reinstall the printer driver using the Windows Built In driver

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and reinstall the printer driver using the Windows Built In driver and follow the onscreen Instructions

It seems obvious you are just reading from a standard script and didn't actually read my question *and the things I have already tried* but that is OK. It is also obvious none of the recommended solutions worked or I wouldn't have tried soooo many (I did list them but you didn't read what I wrote) and yet still had to post for a solution here. Anyway *none of the so called experts here were even close but I figured it out all on my own*. I have always told everyone that HP makes the best computers and accessories but never again because of the page after page after page after page of printer problems seen here. Good grief HP, you have lost your way. You were the best and now you are a nightmare.
