HP Deskjet 2540
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been using HP Deskjet 2540 printer for home use. Like every time when the cartridges are out of ink i replaced them with a set of new genuine cartridges numbered 678 both color and b/w from amazon. As soon as i got the cartridges fitted, i got the right side orange light blinking. And this would not go off. i tried powering off, refitting the cartridges and infact thought that the cartridges were faulty and ordered another set from amazon. Even the second set also behaves the same way. One of the lights keep blinking with an orange color and never goes off. no longer seems to be a cartridge issue. These are brand new ones. Can somebody help resolve this.printer.jpg

@surajj, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that the printer is in an error state and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue. This could be an issue with the printer ink system.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
