Hello, I have an HP ENVY 4520. I'm trying to turn it on to do a basic print job, but the screen is completely blank.  I had it fixed once before, but I made the mistake of turning it off when I left my home and now cannot seem to get it back working. Please assist. Thanks, Scott

Hi @Scottlisser1976,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your HP ENVY 4520 printer's display. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check Power Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly plugged into a power source and that the power outlet is functioning correctly. You might also want to try plugging it into a different outlet to rule out any power issues.
  • Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve display issues. Try turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for a minute or two, then plugging it back in and turning it on again.
  • Reset the Printer: If restarting doesn't work, you can try performing a reset on the printer. Look for a reset button or a sequence of buttons to press to initiate a reset. Consult your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to do this for your model.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes, display issues can be caused by outdated firmware. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website and install them if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
