While my printer scans properly and also accepts the print job (and pretends to be printing ;-)), the paper comes out blank. I have cleaned it and renewed the cartridges and still the same problem. Any ideas?

Hello,

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report from the printer control panel, and then evaluate the results.
  1. Load the printer with plain white paper.
  2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup

    ( Gear icon )
  3. Touch Tools.
  4. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Let me know if all the colors are printed. If yes then there is no issue with your printer and our focus would be on PC ( software / drivers ). Hence you may download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from www.hp.com/go/tools

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately the problem persists. Brings out paper, but without having printed.

Hello,

I'd suggest you to try the "Clean printhead/Cartridges" on the printer front panel for 3 times .

touch  the setup ( gear icon ) > Tools > Clean printhead/Cartridges .

If issue still persists, please try with a new cartridges.
