The printer works fine for AirPrint, printing off my Mac and using the Scanner off the Mac. All use the Bonjour Service from what I can tell.
After 5-10 mins, the printer and AirPrint go offline. If I turn off Printer and turn on, all services are working fine.
I have setup a reserved IP address on the router and tried both Auto and Manual IP assignment.
I can print all the time using the IPP prototcol on a Printer setup using IP address. However the Scanner and AirPrint functions stop working as they rely on the Bonjour service.
Any ideas why this only works for 5-10 mins and then goes offline? Do I need to claim under warranty?

Hi,
usually when a router do not support Bonjour or not setup correctly to allow Bonjour connectivity, you will be able to use Bonjour for 5-10 minutes from the device initialization and then the connection will drop, exactly as you describe.
hat is your router brand and model? it is more than likely than your router do not support Bonjour or have such support disabled and therefore the issue occur.

Appreciate your feedback thanks.
My router is the Sky Q router. After researching Bonjour service and Multicast options, I discovered there is a setting which supports this:
- You need to tick the box Enable MLD Querier in >Adavanced>Lan IP setup to enable it
Following enabling this, the printer seems to be working fine and has been many hours with the airprint and scan function working as expected
Thanks again for advising the multicast option on the router as the solution.
