I have this printer purchased 4/2019 and may have used it 8 times.  I am trying to print a picture and it has horizontal lines on it about every 3/4 of an inch.  I am hoping this is not an example of how poorly HP products have become.  What's the issue?

@HOFF13, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I understand you have print quality issues on the printer. Let us try to isolate the issue first, here is what we can do-

Which application are you trying to print from? Does the print preview look good?

Have you tried making photocopy on the printer?

What happens when you try to print regular text documents?

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Also, you can try the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues to resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
