Inserted SD memory card and open file manager, under "Shared" displays "hp92c6d5" upon clicking this the message of "connection failed" with the option of "Connect As.."   I have no idea what to enter or do.  I had an old HP Photosmart printer and all I needed to do was insert the card and open file manager and drag and drop in my iMac.  That does not appear to be an option.  Printer is WiFi setup and all drivers and software are current. I have no issues with printing from any device just not able to copy from the SD Memory card to my iMac.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thank you inadvanced.

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

In order to transfer images to a memory card installed on the printer, you will have to connect the printer to the computer using a universal serial bus (USB) cable.

1.) Connect the printer to your Mac PC using a universal serial bus (USB) cable.

2.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

3.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

4.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu, and then click Add.

Select your printer name in the Use menu in the Add window

5.) Put the memory card in the printer and then look in the Finder under the hard drive icon or it may come up on the desktop.

Let me know how it goes!
