In the web control panel for my 7740 printer I have changed the settings for the Https and encryption strength to low, and know there is no web access.  The error reported my chrome is 'Unsupported Protocol'.

 

I can't see these settings on the printers builtin screen or a way to reset the printer.  (I have reset the network settings but this doesn't reset the Management settings.)

 

Any solution to reset the encryption?

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. 

MKazi is at your service. 

 

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer and you have changed the Https and encryption strength to low. Since then there is no web access to the printer's EWS page. he error reported my chrome is 'Unsupported Protocol'. You have even reset the network settings an the issue persists. You have done a remarkable job in troubleshooting this issue. I'll be glad to assist you with this case.

 

I recommend you to reset the printer and by doing this the printer will restore to its original factory condition. It may also disconnect from the wireless network (if connected) and you will have to set it up again. 

 

A private message has been sent to you with the reset instructions. 

 

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted for further assistance.
